Capo K. – Stop Lyin (Prod. By DNA Keyzz)

Capo K. is at is at it once again. This Atlanta-based rapper, accompanied by his producer of choice, DNA Keyzz, release a new song entitled ‘Stop Lyin‘. It’s your typical turn-up/trap song, but with a bit of a unique spin.

Contrary to what many people may think, all trap music isn’t made the same. Take The Migos, for instance. They’re famous for their triplet cadences and their seemingly random voice inflections, whereas someone like Future is renowned for his use of auto-tune and hard-hitting beats. My point is that within the world of trap, there is a very diverse set of sound, style, and people.

With that being said, this rapper/producer duo is definitely in a realm of their own. Their production, although pretty simple, adds a special aesthetic to their sound. It blends perfectly with Capo K.’s lazy/laid-back rapping style.

Although there is some very substantial room for improvement, I can admire their tenacious spirit and consistent content.

As always, make sure to give it a listen and comment.
